András Böröcz, Artistic Director & Chairman
András Böröcz (MFA, Hungarian Academy of Fine Art, Budapest, 1983) is an artist working in sculpture, drawing, installation, performance and book art. In 1986 he moved to the New York City. He is known for collaborations with musicians, architects and book artists. His work has been exhibited extensively in Europe, the US and in Africa. In 2001, he and his brother László Böröcz opened 2B Gallery, a not-for-profit art space in Budapest. Böröcz lives and works in Brooklyn.
Marc Nasdor, Director
Marc Nasdor (BA, Johns Hopkins University) has worked with, and directed, international arts organizations since 1981. In the 1980s and 1990s he was the co-director of the Committee for International Poetry, an organization in the center of multilingual literary activity in New York. In this capacity, he recorded poets for bilingual broadcast on U.S. radio stations, and organized recitals in the United States for foreign poets. A poet, musician and world music DJ, Marc has performed in France, Germany and Hungary, and has had poetry published in translation in Hungarian and German.
Robbin Ami Silverberg, Director
Robbin Ami Silverberg is an artist living & working in Brooklyn, NY. Her artwork is divided between solo & collaborative artist books and large paper installations. She is founding director of Dobbin Mill, a hand-papermaking studio, and Dobbin Books, a collaborative artist book studio. She has both exhibited and taught extensively in the United States and internationally, and her artist books are in many public collections. She presently teaches "Art of the Book" at Pratt Art Institute in Brooklyn.
András Szántó, Director
András Szántó (Ph.D. Columbia University, 1996) was the Director of the National Arts Journalism Program at Columbia University. He joined the NAJP in 1997 after serving as research manager of the Media Studies Center, a media research think-tank in New York. Szántó has co-authored and edited three books as well as numerous critical essays and research reports about culture, media and arts policy. His reporting and commentary about art, culture and politics have appeared in many art and news magazines in the US and abroad. Szántó earned his Ph.D. in sociology at Columbia University. He has taught courses on the sociology of culture at Columbia University and at Barnard College.
